Welcome to KARUNA, the popular name for the Janssen Spirituality Centre
Welcome to KARUNA Spirituality Centre
The KARUNA Spirituality Centre (KSC) in Boronia recognises and pays its respect to the traditional owners of the land of the Wurundjeri people (past and present), members of the Kulin Alliance.
About KARUNA: A Unique Spirituality Centre
The KARUNA Spirituality Centre (KSC), named in honour of St Arnold Janssen SVD, was opened in January 2008 as Melbourne's unique venue dedicated to the promotion of inter-religious and cross-cultural relations. The Centre is dedicated to mutual understanding and enrichment, respect and collaboration, between followers of various cultures and faith traditions.
One of the distinguishing characteristics of the Centre is the warm and hospitable welcome extended to all who come to KSC. The Motto and Vision of the Centre, reflected in its logo, is KARUNA: A Compassionate Heart - Embracing Everyone - with Unconditional Love.
Members of the Tongan Community perform a welcome dance at a KSC Open Day.
