Welcome to KARUNA, the popular name for the Arnold Janssen Spirituality Centre
The Centre offers programmes and events which provide a deeper understanding of the richness in all cultural and spiritual traditions. It is also a venue at which people from all backgrounds can celebrate these traditions.
The Centre caters for cross-cultural programmes, ecumenical and interfaith meetings, retreats, meditation programmes for adults and children, workshops and seminars in adult-faith formation, women's spirituality.

At the 2008 and 2010 Open Day, visitors enjoyed contributions from the following communities: Fijian, Tongan, and Vietnamese communities. The Centre has also hosted activities involving members from Buddhist, Islamic and Hindu cultures.
KARUNA recommends centering meditation as taught by Fr Thomas Keating OCSO, an American Trappist monk. Centering meditation, also known as Centering Prayer, was recommended by Thomas Merton, the famous 20th century mystic from the Trappist monastery at Gethsemani in Kentucky, USA. Read more>>
